Ger\u00fcchte gibt es allerdings schon, und die machen diese Bekanntgabe im Kontext dieses Blogs spannend.<br \/>\nBattlefield begann n\u00e4mlich als Multiplayer-Shooter im Setting des Zweiten Weltkriegs (mit Battlefield 1942 und zwei Addons) und sp\u00e4ter dem Vietnamkrieg, bevor es sich wahlweise der SciFi-Zukunft (Battlefield 2142) oder der (mehr oder minder) Gegenwart zuwandte. Gerade von dieser Gegenwart scheinen viele GamerInnen mittlerweile eher erm\u00fcdet zu sein, und so schie\u00dfen die Ger\u00fcchte nat\u00fcrlich hoch. Einiges deutet darauf hin, dass der zeitliche Schauplatz in der ersten H\u00e4lfte des 20. Jahrhunderts liegen wird.\u00a0M\u00f6glich, dass man sich gerade mit der Wahl des 6. Mai als Termin auf die Hindenburg-Katastrophe beziehen will, die heute vor 79 Jahren passierte &#8211; m\u00f6glich aber auch, und offenbar wahrscheinlicher, ist dass es erstmals &#8222;in den Ersten Weltkrieg geht&#8220;.<br \/>\nDas w\u00e4re auf vielf\u00e4ltige Weise spannend. Ich habe aus Zeitgr\u00fcnden seit Jahren kein Computerspiel mehr wirklich gespielt, beobachte die Szene aber nicht zuletzt wegen sozialer Verwerfungen wie <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gamergate_controversy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#GamerGate<\/a> immer noch von einigem Abstand. Und historisch ist die Sache nat\u00fcrlich auch spannend. Einerseits, weil der Erste Weltkrieg nicht ganz zu Unrecht als der Grabenkrieg schlechthin gilt, der in erster Linie aus Abwarten im Schutz der Grube bestand. Andererseits, aus ganz hiesiger Perspektive, weil der Erste Weltkrieg im kollektiven deutschen Ged\u00e4chtnis nahezu irrelevant ist. Anders als vor allem in Gro\u00dfbritannien wird er vom Zweiten fast vollkommen verdeckt, auch zur 100. J\u00e4hrung 2014 wurde ihm eher pflichtschuldig gedacht als dass es ein weit sp\u00fcrbares \u00f6ffentliches Interesse gegeben h\u00e4tte (das sich mit mehr als der leidigen Kriegsschuldfrage besch\u00e4ftigt).<br \/>\nDie Twitch-Premiere kann man sich ab 22 Uhr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/battlefield\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hier ansehen<\/a>.
